It has come to our attention that certain
competitors of ours may be
using your passwords from their website, to use
YOUR accounts on gsmX. While this does not directly hurt us, we think this is a big security concern for YOU. Please continue reading for tips on how to stay safe.
- they are using YOUR private security details for their benefit;
- they get access to more of YOUR private data on our website (inbox, trades, contact list);
- they get access to make changes to YOUR account;
- they can hack/deface YOUR microsite;
- they can try to get access to more of YOUR personal belongings.
We think that is very dishonest, as you should be able to trust the people you are doing business with. They are trying to compete with us unfairly, but due their actions, the person who gets hurt the most is YOU. We want to warn you to take precautions against such dirty tactics. Here are some tips:
- do not give your gsmX password to anyone - gsmExchange will NEVER ask you for the password over the e-mail or phone. The only place where you should use it is the login form on our website;
- do not use the same password in different websites - especially if they are in the same business. By no means use the same password for your internet banking, because (as evidenced) evil people will try to use it;
- we advise you to stay out of websites which might have conflicting interests (e.g. have a trading platform and trade on it themselves);
- sign out of gsmExchange after using it;
- do not store your user ID and password if you are sharing your computer with someone;
- please call us on +353-1-255-8555 if you are afraid that somebody might be STEALING your information or any other doubts about your security;
- talk to your friends or ask us for references, when you start using a new service or trading with a new contact.
